It’s time for the sector to chime in on research assessment
In terms of anticipation, it was up there with Elton John’s farewell tour reaching Glastonbury last week.
The release two weeks ago of plans from the UK’s funding bodies for a major overhaul of the national assessment of research was largely greeted with positive reviews, if not quite similar acclaim to the appearance of the Tiny Dancer star on the Pyramid stage.
