There is a troublesome attrition going on in science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM) fields, even though these jobs are among the nation’s most highly-paid and fastest-growing, according to findings released by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce on 20 October.
The report concluded that 65 per cent of Bachelor’s degrees in STEM occupations earned more than Master’s degrees in non-STEM occupations, and 47 per cent of Bachelor’s degrees in STEM occupations earned more than PhDs in non-STEM occupations.
