International graduate student numbers up, again

The first-time enrolment of international students in US graduate schools rose 8 per cent between 2011 to 2012—the third straight year of growth. The rise matches a similar 8 per cent increase between 2010 and 2011, according to data released by the Council of Graduate Schools. Total enrolment of international graduate students at the responding institutions reached 197,000 in 2012.
