NSF’s budget debate
The National Science Foundation’s proposed 5 per cent budget increase for the 2013 financial year has received mixed responses from the House Science, Space and Technology commmittee’s research and science education subcommittee. It failed to reach consensus on the budget increase proposed by President Obama during a meeting on 28 February. However, both Democrats and Republicans praised the NSF’s work.
