Kamala Harris has been busy putting an American stamp on international approaches to artificial intelligence

US vice-president Kamala Harris gave a pithy summary of recent discussions about artificial intelligence when she spoke last week during a visit to the UK.

“AI has the potential to do profound good to develop powerful new medicines to treat and even cure the diseases that have for generations plagued humanity, to dramatically improve agricultural production to help address global food insecurity, and to save countless lives in the fight against the climate crisis,” she said on 1 November, before flipping to the other side of the coin.
