Candidate for NIH chief “brings people together”, scientists say

Researchers have responded enthusiastically to speculation that Monica Bertagnolli will be named by the Biden administration as the next head of the National Institutes of Health, with some suggesting that there could be “no better choice”.

It has been widely reported that the current head of the US National Cancer Institute is likely to be announced as the new NIH director this week.
