A NASA official concurred with several lawmakers that more oversight was needed when building the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) that is to replace the Hubble, during a 6 November hearing convened by the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee.
“We recognise the challenges NASA’s poor management, cost, and schedule performance on the JWST have created for the Congress, especially in the current fiscal environment,” testified Richard Howard, the director of the agency’s JWST Program.
