Hubble’s successor on the chopping block

The House Appropriations Committee approved legislation containing controversial language to terminate the Hubble Space Telescope’s successor–the James Webb Space Telescope–on 13 July.

Senator Barbara Mikulski, D-MD, has warned that such a move would kill 2,000 jobs nationwide and stall scientific progress and discovery.
