Key congressional appropriators are being urged by the Traditional Values Coalition (TVC) to enact an immediate six-month moratorium on all National Institutes of Health grant awards that support behavioural science and foreign institutions.
TCV, a socially conservative Christian organisation, is also asking lawmakers to launch an investigation into the agency’s peer review process before restarting the projects in question.
