Nakamura named CSR director

The new director of the National Institutes of Health’s Center for Scientific Review is Richard Nakamura, who has been acting director since September 2011.

He leads CSR’s 450 scientists and administrative staff, overseeing their efforts to manage the 80,000 research grant applications submitted to NIH annually, the majority of which are reviewed in CSR peer review groups.
