FDA scientists still concerned about interference

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) scientists are still significantly concerned about external manipulation of their work, according to a survey conducted by the non-profit Union of Concerned Scientists and released on 7 March.

Nearly 1,000 FDA scientists responded to the survey, which was administered last summer, and hundreds reported that political and corporate interests frequently and excessively influence science-based regulatory decisions at the agency.
