Curiosity due to reach Mars next week

NASA is gearing up to land its car-sized robotic roving laboratory, Curiosity, on the surface of Mars on 6 August.

It is considered one of the most important NASA missions of the decade and the landing is due to be broadcast live in Times Square, New York.
