Universities reminded of conflict of interest rule

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has reminded universities that they must comply with a revised regulation covering financial conflicts of interest that came into effect on the 24 August.

The regulation, designed to increase accountability and add transparency, affects institutions applying for research funding from US Public Heath Service (PHS) granting agencies, including the NIH.
