White House releases climate change assessment

                

Report said to be “most comprehensive analysis of state of climate change in United States”

The US government has released an assessment with “robust scientific findings” of changes in the climate, along with $6 billion to strengthen climate resilience across the country.

Extreme weather related to climate change poses a rising threat to the US and is costing it at least $150bn each year, the Fifth National Climate Assessment has shown.
