Space education can combat Chinese ‘threat’, Congress told

NASA’s education budget should reflect need to keep pace with Chinese progress, congressional researchers say

China’s progress in aerospace technologies “represents a threat to US national security” and must be countered by an education drive, the non-partisan US-China Economic and Security Review Commission has said.

Congressional researchers Mark Stokes, Gabriel Alvarado, Emily Weinstein and Ian Easton made the recommendation in a report on China’s aerospace and military advances, published on 11 May.
