UK commercial space sector opened up as government aims at first space launch
Companies from the United States will be able to take part in space launches from the UK under an agreement between the two countries signed on 16 June.
UK science minister Amanda Solloway said the deal marked a “key moment” for the commercial space sector in the UK. “This deal with the US takes us one step closer to seeing the first ever launch into space from British soil,” she said.
