G7 academies seek better decisions on climate change

Science academies from leading economies call for action on climate, ageing and ocean biodiversity

Science leaders from the G7 group of large global economies have called for better political decision-making around climate change, ahead of a summit of national leaders in Japan in May.

Addressing their respective governments, the science academies of the G7 countries—Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the US—published three joint statements on 7 March.
