ACS continues open-access push

The American Chemical Society is to launch another open-access journal in 2016.

The newest journal, ACS Omega, promises a broad scope and a lower bar to entry than its sister publications.

ACS Omega is distinguished from ACS Central Science, the society’s first open-access journal, by how it selects its content. Articles in ACS Omega will undergo technical review, but will not be judged by editors or reviewers on their likely impact or significance.
