AAAS reveals lack of gender and ethnic diversity among operations

US science association promises to ‘keep up momentum’ on diversity and inclusion

The American Association for the Advancement of Science—which supports research through fellowships, publishing and community engagement—has published data showing the extent to which its operations lack gender and ethnic diversity.

Men outnumber women two to one across AAAS operations, and among the reviewers and authors of its Science family of journals, the association revealed in a report it published on 30 October.
