Minorities in STEM doctoral programmes under scrutiny

The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) will examine the fate of underrepresented minorities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) doctoral programmes, under a three-year National Science Foundation grant.

In a 4 October announcement, CGS explained that the grant worth nearly $1.5 million would be used to investigate in more detail the experiences of underrepresented minorities in STEM doctoral programmes.
