Princeton warned over animal research violations

Princeton University has received an official warning from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for violations of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA), according to documents released by the advocacy group Stop Animal Exploitation Now (SAEN) on 10 October.

Princeton was cited for inadequate veterinary care and inadequate supervision of experimental protocols by the school’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
