Morehouse College has agreed to pay $1.2 million after a federal investigation found that the historically black college based in Atlanta, Georgia, had misused grant funds provided by NASA and the National Science Foundation (NSF) to promote student enrollment in scientific fields of study.
The probe determined that a former Morehouse employee responsible for administering the grants had spent money for purposes not permitted under the terms of the award.
