Open-access publishing coalition launched

Twenty-two colleges and universities have joined forces to promote open access publishing by creating a new Coalition of Open Access Policy Institutions (Coapi).

The coalition will “collaborate and share implementation strategies and advocate on a national level for institutions with open access policies,” according to a 3 August announcement by the University of Kansas (KU), which has taken the lead role.
