More than 40 universities released information about their recent and planned economic development activities on 16 September, to help fulfill their April pledge to promote technology commercialisation and regional economic development.
The announcement by the Association of American Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and the American Association of Universities was part of a ceremony in Alexandria, Virginia at which President Obama signed patent reform legislation into law.
