Two universities make deals to end long-running sexual scandals

Deals agreed over institutions’ handling of allegations of sexual harassment and abuse

Two US universities have reached agreements to settle lawsuits filed about their handling of complaints regarding alleged sexual harassment on their campuses.

The University of Rochester in New York state has settled a court case brought by nine former staff and students. The plaintiffs alleged the university retaliated against them after they filed sexual harassment complaints against neuroscientist Florian Jaeger, who remains on the university staff.
