Senators query whether Department of Education is preventing antisemitism amid violence in Middle East

Senators including Bill Cassidy, the ranking Republican member of the Senate education committee, wrote to education secretary Miguel Cardona on 26 October, saying that Jewish students in the US had been subject to harassment and violence since Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israeli civilians on 7 October, leading the Israeli military to counter with attacks on Gaza.
