Obama urged to stand firm against anti-EPA pressure

The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) recent admission that the greenhouse gas regulations it was supposed to issue for power plants will be delayed beyond the 30 September deadline has turned the heat up on the Obama administration.

News of the delay spread on 15 September, just days after the President had directed EPA to withdraw a proposal to tighten ground-level ozone standards.
