As part of an effort to graduate more engineers from US schools, 45 companies have pledged to double the number of engineering internships they offer next year, the White House announced on 31 August.
The 6,300 new internships stem from an initiative led by President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness and a number of corporate partners.
