UWI Jamaica research warns of water shortage

Arpita Mandal and Anuradha Maharaj from the University of the West Indies (UWI) addressed the shortage of clean water in the capital of Jamaica at the Geological Society of America (GSA) annual meeting this month.

The geologists warned that the most densely populated part of the island, the capital of Kingston, was also the smallest of the ten water basins on the island, and had the least rainfall.
