UWI ‘‘rock star’’ tracks Tobago’s evolution

Monique Johnson, a research assistant from the Seismic Research Centre in Trinidad, is part of a multi-disciplinary team studying the geological history of Tobago.

Johnson is using paleomagnetism – the traces of changes in the Earth’s magnetic field, trapped and recorded in rocks – to understand the evolution of the islands.
