Caribbean students unaware of their own history

At the University of the West Indies (UWI), members of the department of history are continually surprised at how little our new students know about the nation's history.

These are students who all have passes in history at C-SEC (Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate examination) and the majority also at CAPE (Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination).
