International support for radio telescope bid

American support is being sought for Africa’s bid to host the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) of radio telescopes, the world’s biggest science project.

Ebrahim Rasool, South Africa’s ambassador to the United States, told members of the US Congress that their backing was important.
