The California-based Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence Institute will resume observations in September, after a lack of funding forced it to shut up shop.
The SETI Institute announced this week that it has raised $200,000 (£123,000) in 45 days after appealing for public donations to get the Allen Telescope Array back online.
