Caribbean cave study wins student geosciences grant

The National Speleological Society has awarded a US$1,000 research grant to a geosciences student for climate change research in Mekkaman Cave in Barbados.

US-based Western Kentucky University graduate Gilman Ouellette’s project is titled ‘Paleohydrology and Climate Change in the Eastern Caribbean from Barbadian Speleothems.’
