Two large Asian scientific associations have come together to form the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA).
The merger of the Federation of Asian Scientific Academies and Societies (FASAS) and the Association of Academies of Sciences in Asia (AASA) was completed last week with the inaugural meeting of AASSA in Colombo, Sri Lanka. An executive board was established at the meeting.
