Disaster risk management meeting next month

Scientists and risk managers in Latin America and the Caribbean will meet next month to put together a project plan for integrating science and risk management for the region.

The aim of the meeting is to build scientific capacity, and to reach out to policy makers in Latin American and Caribbean countries who are integrating scientific findings to reduce environment related disasters.
