Indian lab sets out to find an HIV vaccine

India has opened a $12 million laboratory that aims to develop a new HIV vaccine, Science Insider reported on 14 August.

The government-backed HIV Vaccine Translational Research Laboratory will work in collaboration with the New York-based International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI). Operating costs will be shared between the two partners. The lab will house 30 scientists.
