World Bank-funded atlas for disaster areas

The World Bank is funding a disaster mapping project worth US$510,000 to enhance the Caribbean's ability to cope with natural events, such as earthquakes and floods.

The Caribbean Disaster Risk Atlas initiative is managed by the Seismic Research Unit at the University of West Indies St Augustine campus in Trinidad and the Mona GeoInformatics Institute.
