University becomes flashpoint in Hong Kong protests

Petrol bombs and bricks hurled at police on campus of Chinese University of Hong Kong

The Chinese University of Hong Kong has become the site of violent clashes as pro-democracy protests continue to bring large parts of the city to a standstill.

CUHK confirmed that several of its students had been arrested and that students and staff had been injured in the protests, which have been going on for months but have intensified in recent days.
