Asia-Pacific funders slower to reform research assessment

Global survey shows major regional differences as some funders shift away from traditional assessment methods

Regional differences are increasingly emerging in how funders are adapting their approaches to research assessment, as a worldwide push towards more responsible methods gathers steam.

A survey of 55 members of the Global Research Council (GRC), made up of research funding bodies from around the world, noted key differences between Asia and other regions.
