Working group from Elsevier, Springer and others to develop automatised solution to longstanding problem
Nine publishers have united in a working group to address a decade-long problem plaguing the academic journal industry: image alteration and duplication by careless or fraudulent researchers.
The group—which first met in April and includes big publishers such as Taylor & Francis, Elsevier and Springer Nature—aims to develop a standardised policy and tool to tackle the widespread issue.
