Developing countries pushing back on R&D dominance of US and China, Unesco report finds

Developing countries are increasingly prioritising science and technology as they try to keep up with the huge dominance of industrialised powers in the research world, according to a report from the United Nations science agency Unesco.

“Gradually you have seen more and more countries adopt science, technology and innovation policies,” said the report’s lead author Susan Schneegans.
