Clarivate citation reports expand eligibility to include more arts and multidisciplinary publications

More than 9,000 journals have received a Journal Impact Factor for the first time, after provider Clarivate* increased the scope of its annual allocation process.

Found by averaging citations for the articles published by a journal, the JIF is intended to be used alongside other metrics and considerations to help judge a journal’s quality.
