Peru struggles to implement school laptop scheme

Peruvian children lack access and training to make full use of the country’s One Laptop Per Child programme, which supplies easy-to-use and sturdy laptops to children, Peru’s education minister has said.

The minister, Martin Vegas, said the programme was plagued by a lack of teacher training and patchy Internet connectivity in Peruvian schools.
