Brazil submits proposals for Rio+20 declaration

The Brazilian government published sustainable development proposals on 1 November ahead of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) to be held in Rio de Janeiro from 28 May to 6 June next year.

The proposals, which include funding for research, have been handed to the UN as Brazil’s contribution to the first draft of the Rio+20 declaration.
