Immunologist to head Argentinian science agency

Fernando Goldbaum has been appointed president of Argentina’s national agency for the promotion of science and technology.

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced the appointment on 28 February.

Goldbaum is an immunologist who did his postdoctoral training at the University of Maryland in the United States. He is a principal researcher for the country’s Conicet research council.
