The Canadian Institutes of Health Research has released an updated version of its strategic plan, which reinforces its focus on improving innovation and knowledge translation in health research.
“With Roadmap II, we are positioning CIHR to deliver even greater impact for Canadians in the future. The plan will guide our investments in initiatives focused in improving patient care, responding to health challenges, and contributing to a healthier Canada,” said Alain Beaudet, president of the CIHR.
The roadmap will guide the funding agency’s strategic decisions over the next five years. It updates and builds upon the previous roadmap, published in 2009.
