$2.4 million for health research in New Brunswick

The government of New Brunswick is investing $2.4 million in health research, through the province’s Health Research Foundation.

The foundation aims to help the province’s bioscience sector build partnerships with federal granting councils, health charities and pharmaceutical firms. The foundation in partnership with other organisations will generate more than $5.5m in funding for health research this year.

"Investing in research, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship is key for the economic growth of our province, and this investment demonstrates our commitment to this goal," said Premier David Alward.
