Saskatchewan budget provides funding for research infrastructure

Saskatchewan’s recently released provincial budget includes $32.6 million for infrastructure projects at the province’s post-secondary institutions.

The money includes $6.5m for the Health Sciences Facility at the University of Saskatchewan and $20.6m for capital improvements, repairs and equipment at post-secondary institutions

The budget, tabled on 19 March, also provides more than $17m for other research projects in the province, such as the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron, International Vaccine Centre and Water Research Chair.
