The Canada Council for the Arts has awarded its annual Killam Prizes to five academics.
The five winners, one each in the fields of humanities, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences and health sciences, were announced on 14 April. They will receive 100,000 Canadian dollars each.
Another six researchers will receive the Killam Research Fellowships, worth a total of $840,000 over two years, to pursue their research free from teaching or administrative duties.
